I made this blog to share my experience of the process of applying to college, which includes taking the SAT and ACT, graduating, and applying for college and financial aid. I'll be posting personal stories, as well as study resources and anything that I think will be useful to others!

Wow, good for you!! Deciding to not go pro must have been hard, but I totally understand and commend you for going after another passion :) I dance 14hrs/week at the moment and it’s crazy on top of work and school. I’d like to join a company, but also want to study visual arts and MICA looks like a great college. Congratulations on being accepted into their program and for doing so well in it!
Hi all — I’m not really sure what to say, except that I am so, so sorry for not updating in such a long time! The relief of summer took over and I just couldn’t bring myself to re-clutter my mind with school ramblings after such a hectic semester. Anyway, over the summer I got a job and started intensive dance training, so hopefully I will be able to still find the time to post regularly! I promise to try my best!
My returning questions to my lovely followers: What did you do over the summer? Have you returned to school yet?
Thank you for following!
I haven’t seen any Tumblrs devoted to college or college planning which is partly why I made this one, but if I ever do come across a college related blog that I like, I will definitely link everyone to it :)
The main difference between the two tests is the content and the way the tests are written. The SAT has Writing, Critical Reading, and Math on it, while the ACT has Reading, English, Math and Science. Also, the writing portion of the ACT is optional, but I would highly recommend doing the writing. I’m not sure what you mean about the subject tests…those are optional.
1710. Let me just say that I’ve never really felt as anxious as I did while looking at my scores. It was like I forgot how to read for a few minutes, and then I counted it up and realised: I reached my target score on the first try. I’m applying to art school so it wasn’t like I needed an incredible score, but I wanted to at least score above average, and I did! So far I’m content, but I feel like soon those “maybe you could do better if you try again” thoughts are going to rush in. Right now, though, I’m okay. I feel accomplished. But now I really want to know: how did you score on the SAT? Are you happy with your scores?
Congratulations to everyone that survived the SAT and ACT, and good luck to all of you taking them in the future! I will continue to post study/test tips, so stay on the lookout. :)
Good luck to everyone taking the SAT tomorrow! Make sure to take a look back at some of the previously posted SAT tips and study help.
